About Us
Andy Topham, who eats, breaths and sleeps boats (and cars!) found his ideal job when he started working as a broker for Boatshed North Wales in 2009 and is delighted to have had the opportunity to take over the helm of the good ship Boatshed North Wales. Andy started sailing aged ten and since then has been involved with all aspects of boats and yachting including racing, chartering, sailing purely for pleasure and instructing. Andy also studied at Falmouth Marine College and has a diploma in Yacht Design and Engineering.
Andy runs the Boatshed North Wales office with his wife, Caroline. The couple met whilst Andy was skippering a 50ft sloop in St Lucia. Caroline had decided to take some time out of her career in marketing in London and joined Andy on the yacht. Over the next few years the couple went on to run a charter catamaran for The Moorings in the BVI and a privately owned 70’ motor yacht. On return to the UK they retained their links with the sailing community in the Caribbean and set up
Topline Yacht Charters, a charter brokerage specialising in arranging crewed yacht charters in the British Virgin Islands. Caroline also established her own marketing and web design consultancy. Caroline is pleased to be working with Andy and Andy Wood (the yacht broker who looks after the Porthmadog, Anglesey, Conwy and Aberystwyth areas) and is even more pleased she still hasn’t made it back to the corporate world.
