It is no mistake that Westerly’s are popular, the Centaur sold over 2000. Ed Dubois was commissioned to design the new generation. He kept to the same tradition of sturdy yet good sea keeping boats on which Westerly’s built their reputation.
The Fulmar is a lot quicker than older Westerly’s and offers a lot more room and comfort. Port side there is a quarter berth, heads and a chart table. The galley is to starboard. The saloon has comfortable settee berths and there is also a cabin heater on the bulk head. In the forward cabin there is a large double berth.
In 2006 the vessel was gelshielded. A major overhaul was carried out in 2010 ready for circumnavigating the UK, including a new Standard Horizon Chart plotter fitted, sea cocks serviced and the gas system renewed.
