On Tuesday the presence of Princess Anne at this year's Boatshow in Southampton proved to brighten up the damp skies. Princess Anne had arrived for ladies day as she is President of the Royal Yacht Association and is a regular visitor to the show.

While she was there she met Geoff Holt and his boat, Impossible Dream, in which the disabled yachtsman will sail solo across the Atlantic in December this year.

The Boatshed North Wales team were fortunate to see Geoff Holt at the stand before Princess Anne’s arrival. We would all like to wish Geoff all the best in his quest to cross the Atlantic.

The Princess Royal requested to see the Rustler Yachts' stand as she owns a Rustler 36 herself. She also met the Mayor of Southampton, Councillor Liz Mizon.

You still have plenty of time to visit the Boatshed team on stand B053 as the show is on until the 25th September.
