Since the 1980s David Moss has been quietly building traditional-style canoe yawls, in sizes from 13ft to 25ft, at his yard near Fleetwood in Lancashire. Construction is strip-planked Douglas fir with a hardwood skin, with a fairness of hull often mistaken for a GRP moulding.
