Dear Sirs, We have just purchased our first narrowboat from Mr Phil Bassett (Grand Union) and felt we had to send you our feedback. From our initial inquiry Phil was courteous, informative and quick to respond to making our first viewing appointment. We had two viewings in total and I cannot praise Phil enough for his salesmanship. He took every question we had seriously, following up each inquiry quickly, sometimes having to liaise with the owner. He obviously has a good professional working relationship with the marina that the boat is moored at which made our purchase even easier with any further questions. We originally had a one twelfth share in a narrow boat for four years in total but always knew we would purchase our own, visiting a number of brokers within a radius of about 80 miles. Initial response from many was flimsy with hardly any followup and the quality of the boats at times was questionable for the price and we had doubts as to whether offers were in fact relayed to the owner! How refreshing to find Phil at Boatshed Grand Union who instilled confidence in us and made our buying experience so pleasurable, a feather in your cap.
