Boatshed Hamble Pressed into Service at Record Breaking Moment

Wednesday, 05 September 2007

The Boatshed Hamble RIB (and Skipper Peter Delbridge) were on hand today to welcome home quadriplegic sailor, Geoff Holt from his record-breaking voyage around Great Britain. The RIB was put into service as the press boat making sure that the photographers and journalists were as close to the action as possible. Peter Delbridge skillfully manoeuvred the RIB so that the media were in exactly the right position to capture Geoff as he crossed the finishing line and the resulting shot was soon beamed to newspapers around the world.

The brief was simple.......

Boatshed sells boats, have you tried them yet?

Boatshed sells boats, have you tried them yet?

Sunday, 26 August 2007

And this was amply proven during a recent excursion to Cowes to watch the P1 Powerboat racing in the company of the guys from Boatshed Hamble, Boatshed Cowes and Boatshed Poole. Time and time again I realised that the reason the Boatshed business works is because each and every one of the team members care passionately about the boats they are selling, the customers they have and the accuracy, attention to detail and all round service that they deliver. But I'm getting ahead of myself just slightly....

Mad about Boats?

Mad about Boats?

Saturday, 12 May 2007

Neil and Mandy Chapman founders of Boatshed Yacht Brokers decided to take a few hours off during a recent visit to the Boatshed Falmouth office, to visit the Maritime Museum. If you are mad about boats you will love this place. What was planned as a quick look ended up being a visit for several hours. "I could have stayed a week" claimed Neil. Here is a selection of photos of the museum. Mandy from Boatshed took to the idea of sailing aboard Hugo Vihlen's yacht "Fathers Day" in which he sailed the Atlantic in 105 days. Interestingly Mandy is actually 6 inches longer than the boat itself ! The boat holds the record for the smallest yacht to have ever crossed the Atlantic at 5'4". Now that's mad about boats :-)
