Some areas of the South coast of England have been put on alert for expected very high tides today.

The UKHTS issued a warning and tides are expected to reach anything up to a metre above standard high water today.

Boatshed HQ which is situated at Royal Clarence Marina in the UK has been put on alert and is moving some of it's ground floor operations to a higher level.
It is understood that local emergency services and police have been issued with extra boats and canoes to deal with potential problems.

A spokesman for Boatshed.com HQ said "Proper preparations have been taken and although we will all be wearing Wellington boots in the office today, it is business as usual at Boatshed.com!"

The tides are expected to peak at around midday today.
